the big idea project reflection
This needs to be shared with me by Wednesday, March
6. Also post the answers on your Blogger.
How did you decide on your Big Idea?
Every
one faces with their own inner demons, some people may be stuck in the state of
mind of distress, but others leave the darkness to go towards the light. My life was struggling when I was
younger, until I cleared my mind and let the angels in so that way Christ can
save me from sin.
How did you decide on a way to show that Big Idea
through video?
Have
someone seeing things or hearing things when they are in the dark state of
mind, while God is still trying to speak to him in hidden ways such as saying
“your lost.” Or having an object appear out of no where, so that way he may
find his way.
What video concepts did you decide not to do? Why?
I
used many of my video concepts that I have learned for my film. Concepts such as the Foley, method and
cuts, I used a dominate camera angel, stationary and move mental camera angels. The concept I did not use was a
documentary or narrative. Mainly
because this film did not need much talking, it did not need to follow someone
by what they are doing in real life, its following someone from inside ones
mind.
Do you feel you effectively talked about your Big
Idea with your video? Why or why not?
Yes
because I wanted to get my religious views out there. I am not forcing any religion onto anyone, I am just simply
sharing what God wants me to share, and that is if you seek the Lord then the
Lord will let you find him.
What was the best part of this process
(brainstorming, writing, planning, shooting, editing, etc?) Why was it the best
for you?
The
best part was being able to experiment with different recording
techniques. Such as going to
different locations, using others, trying to show that the viewer is in my
mind.
What was the best part of choosing your own Big
Idea as opposed to me setting one for you? The worst part?
The
best part was being able to share what I have been thinking, being able to show
my thoughts and my own personal creativity and originality to others instead of
coping ones idea to think of another that is just like what the rubric tells me
to do. It is not an original idea.
The
worst part was struggling with new software that I have never used before, being
able to think of a good way to make the effects work. (It was worth it though)
Propose one additional Big Idea video idea that you could accomplish by
March 14. I want very specific details: what, who, why, how, when, where.
religion
means the world to me, instead of giving hints like the last big idea
project. I would actually preach
it, not necessarily to the viewers, but to others that want it. I would make a documentary of me making
away to preach to the general public of the Lords word. The people who would be in it would be
my camera team,
me my father and my girlfriend Sarah.
The project team
My friends Emily, Sarah, Aj, Leah, David and Joe.
As well as me of course. I
will show me getting a team together show the struggles show the ups show the
creation process and show the people that I have influenced. I have been thinking of this idea for a
little over a year now, preparing to do this video regardless whether it was in
school or not. I want to change
the world by showing others God like no one else has done before. My friends and I are calling this
“Project God Leads the Way.” The idea process has been going on for a while and
it is time to put the project to a start.
Grant it, this video will not be done by the 14th, it will however most likely
done by the 20th, a few days before spring break.

Big Idea: The human mind
Potential topics; using 100% of the human mind to move objects with out touching them, fighting with inner demons, be able to teliport , trying to find ones self that can get lost deep in a persons thoughts. Taking shape of someone else, swapping with an other's mind/ body.
-What is unique about the human mind?
The human mind is like nothing else on this earth. Everyone has their own mind which each thinks differently, the mind gives humans imagination. The process to succeed in life by going above our expectations.
-What are the brains strengths and weaknesses?
The brains strengths are having creativity, being able to have originality and can show people what it means to be alive. The weakness' can be that sometimes there is no originality, humans copy other things that seem to be interesting. The brain can sometimes give up when really it can keep going.
-Can our minds exceed what most people think is nearly impossible?
Yes, the word impossible is merely a metaphor. Any thing is possible, it may take years to develop something to make it possible, but not everything is impossible. People told the wright brothers that it was impossible to fly, yet they made a device to fly in the air like birds.
-Can minds truly move objects with out any touch?
It could be possible, with editing software or a special device. It is never impossible with ones imagination. That is why video editing is the greatest art of them all because you can express so many great things and make your own thoughts come to life.

intervention own words
- In your own words, what is intervention?
An intervention is being out of the ordinary, getting out of your personal space. In a way an intervention is breaking the social norm. For example people tend to walk in hallways at school, if some one were to run or skip then that would be an intervention.
- What was the purpose of this exercise?
I believe that the purpose of doing the intervention project was to help us as teenagers get out of our comfort zone. Most of us will be adults soon and in order to live life to the fullest we must do an intervention in our everyday lives. Not necessarily a bad one to where you may get in trouble but a fun and safe intervention where you can grow as a person.
- Why did you choose to intervene the way you did? I’m looking for more than “I thought it would be funny” or “no one would expect it.” What social/personal/human issue did you intend to comment on? Why? How?
o I intervened the way I did because I wanted to show others that everyone on this earth is more than one person. This means inside we all are hyper or energetic, yet most are to shy to show that side of themselves so they cover it up with their alter ego . An ego that is still the same person but it is just overlaying who they truly are and want to be inside. For example I am a hyper young man, however I cover it up at school or in a public place by staying calm and focused. When I took my cloths off in Target that was my true hyper side coming out.
- Why did you choose the location? I’m looking for more thought than “lots of people would be there, so I went there.” How did the location play up your specific idea?
§ I chose Target because a store like this one is the perfect place. It was not because of many people go to target or the fact it was close, but mainly because a store like Target expands your mind. Stores have mainly things to offer from clothing to gaming to brainteasers, all of which makes a person who they are. What is a better way to act like my self in a store that has my personality in it?
- Name three specific examples, ideas, artworks or statements you observed in class that helped you plan for this project.
1) People getting changed in the school bathroom
§ 2) People running in the hall ways of school
o 3) Seeing others just being them selves

Retail stores can be a wonderful and magical place to spread your imagination. Everyone that goes there search for clothes, books, movies and so forth. Most people in stores tend to be quiet, not so talkative. Sometimes I wonder if people secretly want a super hero living in their town.
That is why I, Travis Payne will be their super hero. Rumors have it that super heros wear a cape in tight. Well it just so happens I do not have the money for any of that fancy mombo jumbo. That is why shorts and under armor is good enough to become a super hero. Like all super heros, I wear my change of clothes underneath my street clothes. That way when danger occurs I will be ready to save the world!!! Unlike super heros I change in the middle of a public place, rather than changing in a telephone booth or a port a potty.
When I get a phone call from the dangerous act, there is no time to get changed somewhere else. So what? If someone sees me I’ll be fine knowing that the saw me and knowing that I will be off saving others from harm. I am a super hero that runs faster than lighting and they would not truly be able to see me. The camera probably did but that’s okay!!!!
